Wee Companions in San Diego has a gorgeous group that just finished quarantine and have been added to the website.

On the web site main page, click on Adoption Fees. This will take you to a page which lists the fees and summarizes the requirements for adoption:


Upon adoption you will be asked to sign a contract stipulating:

1. You will not breed the animal.
2. The animal will receive veterinary care if needed
3. The animal will be treated humanely
4. If you must relinquish the animal at any time, it must be returned to us.

Guinea Pigs

Our guinea pig adoption fee is $25 for one and $40 for a pair. If the pig has already been neutered or spayed, add $15. This helps defray our surgery costs.

When you adopt, you will sign a more detailed contract.

Fenella will also inquire about cage size, other pets in the household, ages of children and your experience level. This helps her find the best match for your situation.

When I adopted my girls in April of this year, I also received a voucher for a free check up for them at Avian and Exotic with Dr Jenkins.

You can also call or email (weecompanions@aol.com) and arrange to make a private appointment to meet the piggies. Just be sure to mention the ones you are interested in, since some of the pigs listed on the website may be in foster care.

The rescue is run from her home, and Fenella works full time, so it generally is easiest to contact her initially via email.
