Skinnys for adoption in SC

My rescue has several skinnys for adoption. There are special requirements for adopting one of these. And there is no need to email if you haven't been a cavy owner for at least 1yr,you don't have a excellent vet reference and knowledgeable vet,and you don't wish to make your cage to my requirements. Just wanted to get that out up front so that people will know these aren't the average guinea pigs and require a special owner.

Hang on we are in discussion here! I want the girl. I have already renamed her Dilly because she looks like an armadillo.

I take it you are talking about Elly. She is a sweetie as my daughter has spoiled her. There are several more females that aren't adoptable yet as they are on pregnancy watch.

Is Elly on watch? Ok we are talking and want to kow about making her a fleece coat. Right? she can go with the girls right? Do you have any idea idea how old she is.

She is 4 weeks old. NO she isn't on pregnancy watch as she was born here. I don't know how she would like a fleece coat,why would you want one? She doesn't have mites so she isn't scratching.

Well it is some of the things those of us who have never had them read about them and I want to know what is truth and what is fiction. you know that I do the best for my pigs. I have 4 of your girls already. We would want to make sure they we do everything that she would require.

I know Sabriel in Toronto has a skinny (as I am sure we are all aware! ) Anyway, Lina has worn a t-shirt in the past (not sure about now?) to protect her from drafts or love nips from her cavy friends. She seems to appreciate it. I would think in Summer a fleece coat would be a bit heavy though!

Anyway, just wanted to point out a skinny that is dressed, not to entertain the owner, but for her own comfort!

I would love a Skinny pig, however also being in the Toronto area, I think I better look more locally when I am ready!
