Guinea Pigs in Jefferson City, MO

I am moving to Memphis, TN and don't really have room in the apartment for my guinea pigs. I have two female guinea pigs and a 4x2 C&C cage. I have had Sammy since April 2004 and she was very young when I got her. I have had "Gray" (never thought of a name I liked, so Gray she has stayed ) since the beginning of the year - she seemed to be pretty young when I got her as well. They are both pretty friendly - they will come and climb the cage for their carrots, but Gray is still pretty timid. I would prefer to give them to someone in the Jeff City area - but I could bring them with me to Memphis or anywhere along the way.

Re: Guinea Pigs in Jefferson City, MO

I am glad you are moving to Memphis but sad to hear that your giving away your pigs. Many people here have guinea pigs in apartments, in fact, the rescue where I got my pigs from was in an apartment (she has now moved to a house). I know of someone looking for one female to go with a recently rescued sow. I don't know if she can take on two more but I did point her to this thread.

I really hope you reconsider re-homing them, but if you don't, good luck on finding them good, forever homes.
