There is the mom, a female baby, and two male babies. This was an accidental litter left behind by Malaika a few days after "she" (he) passed. I might be going to college in the next few months and a lot of changes are taking place. I am not sure, but I think if I keep any of the four it would be the two boys. They will be three weeks on Monday. Their names are Cherry, Flame, and Fighter.. and momma is Jewel. Let me know if you are interested.

I've had a difficult time bonding with Jewel and Cherry, and for some reason I am very drawn to Flame. But I know that I can definately not keep all four. Don't get me wrong, Jewel and Cherry are sweethearts, but if I had to choose it would be Flame and Fighter. And, Fighter takes after Jewel in personality. Oh and a warning to anybody who is interested: Jewel is always exceptionally vocal!

You don't live too far from me... I will consider it. I have 6 pigs, one who is a boar waiting to be neutered. I also have to add on the cage to make it enough for the six, plus one from you is 7. My boyfriend lost his job, and I have 2 bunnies and 2 rats. It's not really expensive, because I'm smart with my grocery money, so I use the left overs for them! I'm just afraid my boyfriend won't find a job soon enough. You may have to convince me with pigtures!

I wish I could. Our computer crashed and I am on a really really old system that wouldn't be able to handle the program for my digital.. I can barely have any websites up at the same time as msn. Hopefully our computer guy will call back soon. There should still be some pictures of Jewel kicking around though..

Here we go.. there is a really good picture of her in this thread. She is the lighter coloured one, and the other one is the father who has passed. The best picture of her is near the second last one.

She is sooo adorable! I'm thinking about it. My boyfriend said yes so that doesn't help much. I figured he be like 'lets talk about it'. But even if I figure out that I can't take one, I will help you find a someone. I know alot of people in the area who want pigs!

Thanks. Looking at that picture makes me sad that I have to get rid of any, but at least one of the little boys took on her personality

If you do take Jewel, I still have Cherry to find a home for. Your help is appreciated.

Come on Chloe-You know you want to get the two girls. It's not that hard with eight. I can vouch on that. I have eight girls and they seem to be getting along. We have tiffs here and there but I'm also in the middle of treating for mites. I'm hoping once those are gone, we'll all be one big happy family.

Be careful, Chloe - you don't want to take on more than you can handle. JennG - you're amazing if you can handle 8 pigs. I have 7 and feel more and more overwhelmed every day. How do you do it?

I'm lucky that when I don't feel well, like today, my son can fill in for me. He's still not allowed to handle the girls just yet with Lola's accident but he's doing better with helping them and being more careful with them. I can't give them as much floor time as I'd like but their cage is pretty big. I try and do some lap time every night after scooping poop and giving them their pm veggies. I also do four girls nails one night, and the other four the next night. I also am very organized. I have a book with a tab for each girl. I keep track of everyone's weight which gets done weekly (unless someone's ill than it's nightly). I keep track of when nails get clipped, butts washed and trimmed and ears wiped out. Also when I give meds I document it too. I've worked in the human services field most of my life and we're taught to document, document, document. I've learned how to organize because of it. Otherwise, I'd go nuts. Oh wait, I am. Teehee

PS Susan-I don't know if I could've handled it with a newborn but since my kids are 2 1/2yrs and older, it's not hard. hint,hint
