Two boars in San Diego

Two of my brother's friends had guinea pigs that they decided they didn't want. They said that they were just going to let in them go in the park if they couldnt find them a home soon. So I took them. I have five pigs already and I dont have the room to house two more boys. The only reason my mom let me take them was because I assured her that it was only temporary. One is an all black abby who is about a year old and one is an american who is mostly black with a few brown patches. The american has the BEST personality. I wish I could keep him. I have had the american for about a week, but I only got the abby boy today so I cant tell you that much about his personality. If anyone is interested in them please let me know. I dont know how long my mom will let me keep them and I want to make sure they go to great homes.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

Nobody in California wants two boys? Or even one? They dont have to go together, they just cant be only pigs.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

Thats a good idea about the rescue.

My mom wont let me keep them because I already have five pigs and thier cage takes up almost half my bedroom.(its really small)

please don't give them to a pet store or run them in the newspaper ---some people feed pigs to snakes !!!!!!!!!!!! please call your local rescue.you can find a local rescue by typing guinea pig rescue and your area and state.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

I found a home for the abby boy! He got along with this lady's boy and she had been looking for a friend for him so it worked out great. Now I just have to find a home for the american boy.

Excuse me here but I very highly doubt that Tasha would give them to a petstore or to a snake owner. You have 5 posts here so you really know nothing about the members here and it's not appreciated that you are assuming things that aren't going to happen. I have known Tasha on this forum for over a year and know that she would not let these boys go to less than great and loving homes.

Also I suggest you start using proper capitalization and appropriate punctuation as it's a rule here. This is a warning to do so. The rules can be found here:

Re: Two boars in San Diego

Thanks Ly!

I would rather keep the extra pig than give it to someone I didnt know or to a petstore. I posted this on here in case anyone in the San Diego area was looking for a boy pig. If no one was looking I was prepared to keep them as long as it took to find them new homes. I was fully aware of the responsibility I was accepting by taking in these two boys.

On another note... I might be getting a very small american girl. Anyone interested? It seems I have become a halfway house for unwanted pigs.

I may have found a home for the american boy too. As long as he gets along with the existing boy.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

Well, the intro's didnt go as well as planned. The other boy didnt like my american very much. He cut up his lip and ripped out a few mouthfuls of hair. The lady doesnt even want to try again, so anyone want a wonderful boy?

I was hoping I wouldnt have to call Wee Companions because Im sure they already have enough pigs to worry about, but it looks like I might have to.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

He certainly is really cute, I am sure the pigtures will help! You certainly are doing a wonderful thing for him, and being really patient, as I see you have been looking for almost 2 months. How is your mother holding up with your half way house? Did you get the girl? It sounds like you just about need your own rescue name :-)

Good luck finding a home for him, he sure deserves it.

Wow, thats really creepy. I have a Eddie that has almost the same exact colorings as him! My Eddie just has a white nose and a little more tan! I hope he finds a home soon, he's so adorable!

Re: Two boars in San Diego

Eddie is about two years old.

Luckily my mom is okay as long as I only have one extra pig at a time. The lady with the girl is being patient and is keeping her until Eddie has a home. So if someone adopts Eddie then I can take the little girl in.

Re: Two boars in San Diego

I have a little boy named Gus. He's a little Abysian/spikey. I need another one. The only hitch is they will be in my classroom 3 days a week, but with me the rest of the week. I am a new owner, but I've gone through so much research since I purchased mine. I have a rule that the kids need to garden for the pigs because that's part of the responsibilty of pet ownership. I live in Newport too.
