Re: Amiable Animals Adoptables - NY and New England areas

Nibbles and Vito(abby)

Loki and Keegan(tri-color)

The boar/sow groups were just put tpgether and do not need to be adopted together. The boar pairs (last three) have been together for quite some time and do need to be adopted together.

Thor, Magic (both neutered boars), Sophie, Harriet, and Sandra are in another foster home as are Penny and Franklin (neutered), so no new pics of them tonight. I tried to load the new pics to petfinder but it wouldn't let me do so tonight - I'll try again tomorrow!

I wished I lived a little closer I would so adopt one. I am having a hard time finding a companion in my area but I am willing to drive a couple hours away. I keep my eyes peeled everyday on teh shelter sites near my home!!

Re: Amiable Animals Adoptables - NY and New England areas

I am very interested in Rebecca and Pattycake, I'm the one who has e-mailed you about the possibility of giving foster care.

How old are Rebecca and Pattycake by the way? They look wonderful, I would love to adopt them together if adoption is the path I end up going! I see they have longer hair (that's actually what initially attracted me toward those two) and I would be very willing and excited to give them the extra care and attention necessary to groom them.

Re: Amiable Animals Adoptables - NY and New England areas

Thanks everyone! Today was a bad day as I was hit with an unexpected vet bill to the tune of $200 and have a few sick piggies - please send healing thoughts for their recovery and if anyone is so inclined, donations toward the vet bills would be so very much appreciated!

Wendy - yes! Snowball *finally* has a girlfriend and he's super happy about it! ;~) How are your boys doing?

Sweet Pea - where are you located?

Kimmee - Rebecca *might* have a home but Pattycake is available still. Did you get my latest email?

binas - there are quite a few needy pigs down your way so if you have the room, perhaps you could adopt one of them?

Thanks again everyone and please do send healing thoughts for the poor sick boys . . .

I'm sorry to hear about your boys. I'm really tapped out right now from Christmas and taking on three more girls. Good luck.

Hi Jenn, it's ok - you don't have to donate, I just figured I put a little plea out there. How are the girls settling in? Thanks for keeping the boys in your thoughts.

Re: Amiable Animals Adoptables - NY and New England areas

My girls are getting along pretty well. Thanks for asking. But I did notice that poor Angel is either chewing some hair off on her front paws or someone else is. I think it's her. She's my blind girl and I think there has been too many changes for her right now. I noticed a few days after introducing the new trio to the quintet that she started these shakes when I was holding her. Those stopped but now she's missing alittle fur. I'm going to keep an eye on her. I may treat everyone for mites cause I've also noticed several have been scratching.

Sorry I got winded. I'm just concerned. Which boys are ill? And what's wrong? Are they posted?

Re: Amiable Animals Adoptables - NY and New England areas

Ah, I really hope all the piggies recover quickly! I would send money but I'm saving up for the cage and such to adopt or foster from you! hehe. Perhaps when I'm done helping Teresa with her graphics, I can do something similar for you... I did that instead of donating, offering my servies as a graphic and web designer to help out instead (which can save a lot of money actually!).

Yes I did get you last email, if you mean the one answering my questions on the foster care form. I'm going to discuss with my father shortly (as in maybe an hour from now) which possibility he believes would work best (adoption or fostering).

I'm a little sad, and yet very happy to hear that Rebecca may have a home! I wish her all the luck in the world with her new owner. I am still interested in Pattycake from her pictures and description, she sounds like a sweetie who just needs some love to help her learn to trust. I am getting very excited about getting my cavies, but I feel that I may be getting ahead of myself. I still have some work to do before I'm ready to decide what to do yet!
