Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I'm searching for a breeder in Maryland that can sell me two fully weaned but young males. I'm looking forward to purchaseing from a private breeder, since PetsMart didnt work out at all. These pets will be a well-cared-for addition to our family...knowing dh, a little spoiled too. Please feel free to contact: Luckyandbrad@yahoo.com Thanks, Lucy |

Please check on http://www.petfinder.com for shelters and rescues in your area that you can adopt from. This forum is highly against breeding and purchasing from breeders whenever possible. There are several other sites that you can check to see if there are pigs up for adoption. http://www.gpan.com and http://www.craigslist.com are the only ones I can think of right now. I'm sure other members will provide other suggestions. |

Breeders suck. http://www.cavyspirit.com/breeding.htm Please adopt from a rescue or shelter. There are usually young ones and babies. |

To bad you weren't looking a little sooner. There were over 80 guinea pigs in Baltimore Maryland that needed a home, all ages, sexes, and colors. See my other thread about "hideous dump in Baltimore" I've got 17 of them here in Connecticut and have a couple of really cute baby males. There are several rescues in your area that you can check out. Also www.guinealynx.com has many members that can also point you in the right direction. |

There are rescues in Clear Spring (near hagerstown) and Frederick. I live in Frostburg (in the panhandle) and have a sow that's a humane society foster, and may be pregnant. If you don't find babies by the time that I know for sure, and you are willing to provide proper care, the humane society will adopt out of area to qualified individuals. edit: Many rescues have already bonded pairs that are done with silly adolescent behaviors; it's probably the highest assurance of lifelong getting along you have, and babies can be harder to convince to hold still for nail clippings and cuddles. Older pigs are great too, and I actually prefer them. Everyone loves cute little babies, but seniors need love too! Last edited by sasha; 01-03-06 at 10:28 pm. Reason: add extra info |

Hello, I live an MD and have male piggies you might want to adopt. I am not a breeder. I took in two pregnant piggies. I am fully capable of keeping all of them and would like too but I love from a pig is something you should share If you are still interested let me know. |
