Looking for a rescue near Pittsburgh, PA - Guinea Pig Cages, Care, Store, Photos of Guinea Pigs and More Forum!

Anyone know of a guinea pig rescue near Pittsburgh, PA?? I have been looking on line and the nearest ones are like 3 or 4 hours away. Humane society has only had males (we already have 2 females and of course do not want babies).

Can you keep checking the shelter? They may get sows in sooner or later.

Have you checked the links on here: http://www.guinealynx.info/rescues.html plus local classifieds? Probably people who don't want theirs anymore.

I was looking on petfinder classifieds and there is a skinny boar on there.

You should post on pigloo.net and guinealynx.info, I am sure their is a rescuer in Pittsburgh but I can't remember which forum she frequents. I think it is Pigloo and I think her name is jul something but I could be wrong!

She has an awsome rescue! I'm getting my girl from her once Bert is neutered. All of her piggies are very well cared for. And she makes sure they all go to great homes.

Hi that is the same person in the link I gave as well. She is a good friend of mine. did you adopt some piggers from her before.

There's a rescue in Hatboro that has a lot of pigs. I don't know how far you are from there, but they have many females that need homes.

Not yet. But I'm buying a sheet of coroplast from her after the holidays (hopefully). My mom just has to talk to her about it. But...I can't wait untill I can get my girl from her. All of her pigs are so cute and friendly (from what I've heard...haven't actually been there yet). I can't wait.

Are you getting a girl from a lady named Jul from Lower Burrel. She is an excelent rescue and she is getting more this weekend I believe so if you ahve not gotten one yet give her a call now would be great for it. I jsut picked up 2 sheets of coroplast from her last week.

thanks everyone. We adoped a boy from Jul on Wednesday (don't worry - he is neutered). he is getting along well with the girls!

Great. I am so glad that you got a hubby for your lil girl. I am so excited. I got to see some pics.

Where abouts in Pa are you from. I am from Pittsburgh Crafton area. Which is near GreenTree. Oh also this year we will be having a pignic here in Pa I believe at keystone lake park. I will let you know.

I live out in Clinton (near the airport). I use to work in Green Tree (17 yrs ago) in Foster Plaza. You are not too far away.

Cool. I got to see pics of your piggers. Hey I jsut got our boy Checkers neutered yesterday by Jul's vet who does all the rescue neuter. She is the best out there.
