Re: Hoarder in WI I have already started looking for my new boar. How often are new pictures added to the website?? I check several times a day hoping to see a new boar. If any of the volunteers have pictures of new boars I would love to see them. I'm so excited!!

| Re: Hoarder in WI Latest scoop-Rachel (aka Ladyveg) posted yesterday that she should know within the next two weeks if the remainder of the potential pregnant sows are actually pregnant or not. I'm assuming that she will have lots of new piggies pictures up if within the next few weeks. Keep watching for new piggies on her site to adopt. I have my eye on a few but with the nasty weather starting to come in, I may not get to adopt til later. Anyways, I guess this guy that they got the piggies from went to court and admitted that he had gotten eight more piggies since the others were taken as well as a few "farm" animals. Can you believe that the judge is letting him keep those eight? There is an animal control officer (I think that's her title) gets to do at least weekly visits to his house to make sure the animals are taken care of or they'll be removed as well. My question is when will it end? I just don't get it. Anyways, to find out more about the whole situation please go to guinealynx under the adoptable section. I'll try and get the thread up here for a direct post. Thanks for everyone's support. Here it is: http://www.guinealynx.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25647 Last edited by JennG : 12-04-05 at 11:11 am. | Re: Hoarder in WI If anyone wants to donate, please know that anyone who does gets a cozy or tunnel from me. You can see an example of one on the second thread, and a few extra pictures on this thread: http://www.guinealynx.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25777 They are made for my pigs who are evil butt biting heathens (Jane is getting spayed on the off chance this behavior is hormonal, if not, she's going to piggie jail until I can find a new friend she won't chew on), so two nice pigs can share one of them, although I've made them smaller upon request. Since they are so big, they come with straps to hold them open. |

Re: Hoarder in WI Hi all! I was wondering if there were any piggie trains set up yet. I am in Kansas City, MO and would love to rescue a new friend. I'll be up in Souix City, IA for the new year. Probably a long shot, that anybody will be comming anywhere near there with some piggies, but if so we are looking for a friend. Thank you to everyone that is helping these darlings!

Re: Hoarder in WI This is an unabashed plug for Sasha's tunnels and cozies. I ordered two from her before this hoarder bust, and am very pleased with them. She uses good quality materials and does very fine work. If you donate to the cause, you (and your pigs) will be very pleased with what you receive.

Re: Hoarder in WI It's good that you took in from the SC rescue. I'm just glad I was "close" to adopt three girls from Rachel.

Re: Hoarder in WI Bump. Even though Ladyveg has successfully adopted out alot of piggies, she still has some more left to be adopted out. Everyone but one girl who's waiting to be spayed are now up for adoption. Come on you know you want one. Heck, I ended up with three. And they're the sweetest girls. I just love my girls.

Re: Hoarder in WI If I would have gotten my new job. I would have taken in another one but I got an interview later this week so there is hope. Even though I'm looking for a long hair that silver one and aby/prev are so cute.

Re: Hoarder in WI Um, well, 6 but I really like 2 more on top of 71 and 71c so maybe.........8. Forgivness easier than permission, right?

Re: Hoarder in WI What others do you like? Yes, forgivness is easier to get than permission (by Percy's Mom). My hubby threw a fit when Bailey came along with Lola and Mia but he got over it. I swore that was it but now I'd like a boy. Nah! I better not push my luck. (at least not now. *devil grin*) Like the old show says, "Eight is enough."

Re: Hoarder in WI Well I'm going to get my new girls on the 22nd! I'm so happy! If anyone is thinking about adopting from the Baraboo GP Rescue, I would be more than happy to bring pigs back to the Chicago area. If you have been thinking about adopting from them now is a good time. She still has alot of beautiful guinea pigs in need of great forever homes, and by the looks of things up there, the family is collecting animals again including a bunch of pregnant guinea pigs. She could be up to her ears in pigs again soon.
