Best positioning for hay rack

My cage houses 2 females and we are adopting a third this weekend. I will be expanding the cage tomorrow and make a few adjustments to get ready for the new addition. I currently have a 1x3 loft w/ hayracks and and litterboxes on each end and the opening for the ramp is on the middle grid. I see most people w/ multiple racks have them side by side. Is this better?

No, separate racks are just fine.

Re: Best positioning for hay rack

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I am still learning as to what is best for our little ones and wanted to double check before I do the lower level expansion tomorrow.
