Sorry if this sound like a stupid question but How do you make a bunkbed? I dont get how. If you can tell me or even post pics then that would be great. Thanks! |

You take a grid, bend it in half at a 90 degree angle, and zip tie one of the sides to the cage. |

There are several ways, it depends on what suits your situation. If you want a big bunkbed, you can get a grid and ziptie it in a corner just 6" up, above the coro. You can make a little ramp or leave it for the pigs to jump. Line it with leftover coro and fleece, and there you have it! |

Yup! Just make sure you put coroplast on the part that they would sit on(top bunk). Then put a towel or fleece on top of that. I have mine 6 inches off the ground and they can go under it and on top just fine. |

I call that a futon, not a bunk bed. |

Thanks I will need to try at least one of these! Its just that my grids are hard to bend a my coro is high Because I had to baby proof the cage? |

Question. What to do put ontop of the grid ? Just a small piece of coroplast and the usual paper, towel and fleece ? |

Whatever you call it (bunk bed, futon, perch) one of my pigs (and only the one) LOVES his. LOVES it. I took a grid, bent it slightly (so it slopes up, but not a complete "wall", and ziptied two of the sides to the corner of the cage, about 6" up. I don't have coro on it, but instead sewed several "mattresses" for it that match the rest of the bedding. I used to put a bent-grid-hidey under the front of it to be used as a ramp, but after a while he didn't need it, and now he just hops up and down as he pleases. It's cute to see him up there surveying his kingdom... |

There's a right way and a wrong way for the grid to bend - unfortunately I can't remember which is which, but if you do a quick search for bending grids you should find it out quickly. |

My bunk bed consists of a freezer rack. I put fleece on the top. Two pigs like to go on top of it, and any of them like to hide underneath it. Bunk beds are a big hit! |
