How would I sew one if these hidie houses?

http://www.jenscustomcrafts.com/uplo...331/174180.jpg

How in the heck would I sew one of these? I could love to get one for my piggies but they are too expensive for me to purchase and I just LOVE sewing new toys and such for my babies.

Thanks All!!!

Re: How would I sew one if these hidie houses?

If I was making this here is what I think I may do:

Cut two semi-circle shapes - one for the entrance and the back wall
Cut a rectangle to go across the top and two squares for the bottom and the flap.

I don't know if this is what you were looking for but looking at the pictures I think it may work. This design also looks similar to a cat hidey/bed.

Re: How would I sew one if these hidie houses?

Okay, I have absolutly NO experience with sewing, but I have an idea. This may be the stupidest idea in the world, to all you good sewers out there, but what the heck, I'll give it a try!

The botton of the cozie (square part) I presume is pretty straight forward. Maybe you could put some velcro on it on the edges to attach it to the top? for the top, I think you could cut two semi-circles, well one with just the outline of a semi circle, for the doorway. I don't know how to put this into words, but maybe you could make a slot along the outer curved part of the semi-circles and get some wire in them to hold it open....maybe? And you could leave the slots open so you could slip the wire out when you want to wash it..... I don't know. :] Hope I somehow helped!

Re: How would I sew one if these hidie houses?

well i think you make an extera squear that comes out as like a pad to change when it gets wet and you can probably just throw the whole thing in the wash?
