Yup,they don't like being confined. So they can go in and out with easy. I want to make a long tunnel with fleece and pipecleaners but i haven't sorted it out properly in my head .

I've been watching these threads with pen and paper in hand. I need to make my boys some new cozies and hideaways. My sewing machine is ready and waiting for some free time, keep posting please!

Re: New tunnel cozie

It's really very easy. I did most of it by hand because the filling is thick and doesn't go under the sewing machine.

Well what did you use for "filling" is it batting or what? I know that stuff IS thick and would even be hard to hand sew. It's very nice, I have so much extra fleece pieces laying around from changing the cage and had the fleece pre-cut to fit in it, now I can't use them, oh well! I need to use them for something.

Re: New tunnel cozie

Yes i used wadding. It's a little thinner than batting. If you don't have any you could double up on two pieces of each fleece. That will make it sturdy. I'm almost finished poppy's one.

I have a big bag of "stuffing" not sure if you consider that wadding? Like what you would use to stuff a pillow with I guess, it wouldn't be sewable, but I could "stuff" it in the round edging after sewing it right? Would that work?

I have a drawer full of poly-fill, which I was thinking of using. It's insanely washable, but you have to watch chewers, of course. Even boar scent washes out no problem.

Is that what I have "poly-fill"? It is kinda "silky" feeling and just like wads of stuffing you can pull apart however much you want to use or whatever! So it won't like bunch up if I wash it?
