Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
Yesterday during floor time I put out a toilet paper roll and stuffed with hay and one of my pigs say the cardboard and despite all the veggies and hay that he had available he headed straight for the cardboard. I pulled it out and just left the hay on the floor. Is this normal? hould I let him nibble it or not? Thanks! Oh and also if this is in the wrong section I am very sorry! |

He can nibble a bit. If he's ingesting large amounts, take it out. He's probably just curious and will go back to his normal food after he checks it out. |

One of my pigs LOVES toilet paper rolls, and will noisily nibble away until he finishes the roll within a day or two. I've never heard that it's bad for him, and have been giving him a new roll every week for over a year now. He is a healthy, happy piggy, and is overjoyed whenever he gets a roll to chew on. The only thing I would watch out for is if there are remnants of the paste that kept the toilet paper attached to the roll. If I see sticky stuff on the roll, then I don't give it to him. |
