There is a place by my house where they have ceramics that you can paint and then they put them in a kilm. They have little bowls that would be great gor a guinea pig food dish. They are dish washer and mircowave safe. I have two for my dog that I made there and he eats out of them. Would they be safe for my pigs? |

I think they would be safe as long as the glaze is food safe. Some glazes contain lead and other chemicals that should not be eaten off of. I took a ceramic class, loved it. Some of the glazes we used were food safe and some weren't. You would just have to ask the people who own the bussiness. |

It depends on the glaze. Greens and blues are generally safer than reds. |

Okay. They have plates and bowels and food dishes for dogs there so I think it would be safe. But I'll go in and ask anyway. |

I made a bowl like this for my hamster and they are great! If dogs can eat out of it, it's probably safe for piggies. |
