I bought one of those hay balls for my cage, but will that provide enough hay for two piggies? Or should I also have a hay rack or other box containing hay? I see lots of photos with bent grids doubling as hay racks, and those grids are huge so I assume they can hold alot of hay, which has got me thinking that maybe the one ball will not be enough. But I just want to be sure. I want everything to be perfect before I get my girls (This is what I got, just for clarification) |

Just be sure that they have constant availability to hay. If you will not be home during the day just be sure they have enough to last untill you get home. But goodluck with your girls. You will love them, I love my little girls. |

Those balls aren't really that safe. Some people's pigs have gotten stuck in them. They also are not easy for them to eat out of it. A hay rack or hay loft would encourage more hay eating. |
