We have 2 boars that are about 3 months old. We have 1 wood hiding thing (House) in their cage. It is not huge so it is quite cozy for the 2 of them inside. This has worked so far. However for the last day one has adopted the tunnel as their house while the other stays in the wooden house. This brings up some long term questions for me: Should I have 2 houses or 1 large house for the 2 of them (they are both boars)? They do have bouts of dominance behaviour but before the last day or so they spent large amounts of their time snuggled up to each other in the wooden house. |

They each need their own. Sometimes they may not want to be together and it gives them each a place of their own to get away from the other. |

Thank you. They have always had an alternative spot to hide other than the home. This is the first time one took up permanent rather than temporary residence. They now have 2 identical homes (and of course they are now both in the same one). |
