Is a Wodent Wheel safe for pigs? I know those running balls aren't, but what about Wodent Wheels? Just wondering! They seemed a bit safer to me, but advice welcome. Link in case you're not familiar with this accessory. |

My guess would be no, because guinea pigs do not have flexible back like other rodents. So the curve of the wheel would put stress on their back. But, correct me if I'm wrong. |

I would say absolutely not. For the same reasons as WICavy Said. |

I don't think they are safe for guinea pigs. Their website did not mention guinea pigs anywhere. I would think they will list guinea pigs somewhere if they are safe for guinea pigs. Why would a marketer miss an opportunity to sell to another target group. |

Actually they did have a picture of one guinea pig using it as a hidey. Wodent Wheel Others Photos (Upper right, second picture from the top.) |

Nope, not safe. WICavy is right about their spines not bending like other rodents. |

Absolutely no exercise wheels for the same reason the balls are bad. |

Well I did not know this either but when we first received our piggies about 3 months ago, we had purchased the great big ball for them... we put them in the Huge ball and they just stood there, then I researched that they should not use them... I'm still learning more and more everyday about them... Good luck to you! |

I also say no and I don't think they would use it anyway. I know mine wouldn't. |

No wheels or balls of any type are safe for guinea pigs to use. |

No, theyre backs do not curve like other small rodents, and I dont think they would fit inside of the wheels. |
