Toy and Stimulation Ideas

I have looked at the toy page many times and tried almost everything on it. My pigs used none of the toys on that page and all they do all day is stay in their pigloos. Does anyone have ideas on ways to keep them active and stimulated? Or good floor time toys and set ups? Also they don't seem to like floor time that much

Re: Toy and Stimulation Ideas

I was patient with my girls and kept giving them papertowel rolls stuffed with hay. They used to ignore them and now love the rolls and paperbags.

Re: Toy and Stimulation Ideas

To get Cookie going I stuff a toilet paper roll with hay and some veggies. She especially goes nuts if I put broccoli in the middle. I swear she can smell broccoli from a mile away.

Also stuffing a small lunch size paper bag with hay and/or veggies is fun.

Guinea pigs find the silliest things fun, so be creative.

Re: Toy and Stimulation Ideas

In addition to paper, paper rolls and bags, cardboard boxes can be a hit. If you open both ends, it becomes like a tunnel too.

Re: Toy and Stimulation Ideas

My boys love small boxes stuffed with hay, I always make that extra hole on the side to avoid fighting for the hay http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...Pigs/022-2.jpg,

I got my pigs and my cats one of these at Walmart for $4.00(I think, can't remember, but it was real cheap) this is what they look like at the store http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...Pigs/024-2.jpg
and this is what mine looks like- I put hay in it http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...2/SD530594.jpg

Also, hay, hay, hay and hay. Put it everywhere, a pile in the middle, some in the igloos, everywhere not just in the hay racks, thats no fun.
