Need Suggestions Hi. I'm new here and in need of some advice. I currently have 2 piggies - Luna & Mimi. Just recently it seemed like their water bottle went on the fritz - I'd fill it up and it'd be empty within hours...leaving their cage sopping wet. I've gone through about 3 different bottles with the same results. Switched bottles with my rats - the leaky water bottle works fine with them...so maybe it's something my girls are doing. All I know is that even over the 7 or so years my dad & I bred & showed cavies, nothing like this had ever happened either. If a water bottle drained this quickly, it usually had something to do with a hole chewed in the side (and that's only happened with other rodents I've owned...not the guinea pigs - that I remember)Has anyone ever had this happen? Know of any reason not invoving a faulty water bottle or any completely leak-proof waterottles (or as close as possible)?

Re: Need Suggestions If the bottle that leaked with your guinea pigs works fine with your rats, your pigs are playing with the bottle.

Re: Need Suggestions I watched the one they have now for a few minutes after I put it in their cage, though, and it's actually dripping steadily. For right now, I've placed a ceramic dish beneath it to catch the water.

Re: Need Suggestions I find with my water bottles if they aren't at a good angle, they will drip. I fiddle around with it until it doesn't drip.
