I noticed a lot of towels used for various things in the cage pictures and I used one to cover a tunnel I made out of a grid and (the towel is intact) drape the towel over the cage so it makes a tunnel and a hidey hole...my concern is that I notice my one piggie started to chew on it and pull some threads loose!! I am worried this might harm them if they eat the towel or maybe cause blockage??? So if anyone can help me out here I would be very thankful |

It can cause blockage. Some piggies can be persuaded not to chew towels if they taste bad. I don't know if bitter apple spray(what people use for animals when they don't want them to chew on something) is safe for pigs, but maybe ask around? I believe it's all natural, and it's safe for consumption in cats and dogs. |

I tuck the edges of the towels under so my pigs wont chew on them. |

My "queen" piggie of the herd is quite ornery and climbs on top and bit the middle of the towel ...I havent seen her do it since so maybe she was just tasting it to see if it was good...I think if they continue to chew it I will remove it just to be safe |

My guinea pigs chew on the towel no matter where it is, they think the middle tastes just as good as the corners, so it doesn't really help sometimes. |

My pigs just chew on the edges so its easy for me to fix. My mom came up with a great I dea if you use towels for bedding. You could put a sheet over the towels. |
