well i got meg for a week now and just got another girl as a friend for meg.

today i handmade a cozie igaloo for them.. after i put them in there there is allot of poop inside by the end of the day.. im thinking its the new piggie too nervous to come out and poop?

do they normally poop in their sleeping area

Mine ALWAYS poop in their sleeping area. I have three different igloos and I am thinking of putting a box of bedding under each of them. The fleece is nice but it is tiresome to constantly be cleaning up poop from under their hideys!

Those cuddle cups are great to put under the pigloo. When you clean out poops, just take them to garbage and empty poops out. I have very large ones and the pigloo fits inside them. They love sleeping in them because they are so warm and fluffy feeling.

Poo and Pee everywhere is the norm! Just wash the cozies as much as you need to!

I call cozies glorified toilets. All they do is pee and poo in them.

I think they may pee and poop in them because they are so comfy that they do not want to get out and go elsewhere!

What are cuddle cups??? I'm looking for something to put under my piggies' igloo for easy clean up.

There are lots of people who make them. I found mine on Ebay. A lady was selling 7 large ones really cheap. Weaver on here and on guinealynx.com is located in Alabama and makes really pretty ones. When I need more I'll be buying from her. If you go to the section on here for items being sold, she's on there.

Thanks. Those are really neat. I'll have to measure my pigloo to see if it will fit in it. It's a double pigloo which is I think is the largest one.

Talla is really good about using the bathroom in the 2 back corners of her cage. Her towel is always clean although I give her a fresh one every morning.

Meggie....it's just the plastic igloos that you can buy for the pigs. I just put a p in front of it. Kind of like using pigtures for pictures.

Most of the time on guinea pig websites they will refer to them as pigloos.

Macey Bear loves her Cozy sak and, to a lesser degree, her cuddle cup. But, after she has spent any amount of time in either one, they do appear to be filled with chocolate chips.

I'm starting to get familar with the piggie terms

do people find that their piggies pee during floor time?

my new piggie pee'd and got herself stinky then my other piggie (meg) ran through the puddle before i noticed .. so now they're both stinky.. maybe i should bath them but ive only had meg just over a week and the other 3rd day.

I imagine that unless your piggies are somewhat toilet trained(I think all any piggie can be is "somewhat" toilet trained), they would pee on the floor if left there for long enough(not very long

). Try litter training, and make sure you put their litter box on the floor with them during floor time.

Or, you could cover the floor they have access to with something, like towels. I guess you would have to buy quite a few very big beach towels or something, depending on how much floor space you make available to them.
