Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 my pigs always love to pee in their pvc pipe, and everytime they do this, i have to scoot them out of the pipe, wash it with vinegar water solution. they do this at least 5 times every day and it is super annoying. also, the girls fight over it. i totally prefer V shaped grids and carboards for tunnels. but i was wondering, has anyone else had this expierience with pipes? |

I use the cardboard 'chubes' and it's not so bad with those as they're absorbant (which obviously means they don't last as long!). I just try and push a bit of bedding in it so if they do wee in it, it doesn't just completely soak their coat. I agree hiding places without bottoms are best because of this, but mine do love their chubes! However many of one thing I give them, they'll always argue over the 'best' one (which for the life of me I can't figure out how it's different from the others!) so I don't expect reasonable sharing behaviour from them! |

mine really like their pipe as well, and i felt so bad, i put it back in. but i lined the bottom with strips of fleece. hopefully that should take care of at least a bit of the problem. |

yup, my piggies do the same thing. they pee in it all the time. so now they only get it for floor time rather than leaving the pipe in their cage. |
