Covering a ramp

When I make the ramp for my guinea pigs' cage should I cover the coro with a strip of carpet or could I use a rubber bath mat?Are there any other things I could cover the ramp with?

Re: Covering a ramp

I would use the rubber bath mat. Especially if it goes from the cage to the surrounding room. My ramp is twice as wide as my largest pig.

Thanks. The ramp is going to be in their cage but if we have enough left overs wwe might make one so they can come out of the cage.
