Exclamation Pig loos

I have seen in most pets shops Guinea pigs toilets for the corners of your cage??! Its a plastic dish thing that I think you may have to fill with some sort of Cat litter stuff. I dont se how this can work to make your pigs go to the toilet in there. Wouldnt the pig just kick all the waste out?
Is it just a waste of money of does it really work?

My pigs lay in their litter pan and they are poop machines. But poop and wee in their cage with all the hay. Thats why I keep plenty of hay handy and clean their cages every weekend. Plus I have a can with tweezers handy as every time I see a poop somewhere, even in the hay, I pick it up. Hope this helps.

ACK! Never use cat litter in a pig's cage! It's no good for them if they eat it! Just deal with the poop problem by spot cleaning your cage between weekly full changes.

dont use kitty litter use Rabbit litter if you wanna train them. But really the easiet way to train is when you clean the cage put some soiled bedding into a corner where you want hmi to go.Works about only 40% of the time .

I have one, and it works for one of my piggies. The other is really dumb and eats constantly, so I don't think he has gotten the hang of the litter pan yet. Otherwise they just sleep in it. It's not really worth the money because they poop everywhere else anyhow! =)

its not a litter box , but you decide how you use it . Gp's would rather sleep in it then using it as a litter box , they like a roof over their heads when they're asleep

Its very easy to train your pigs i mean unbeleivably easy.Dont need a litter pan at all .Of course sometimes they make a mistake but if you had a digestive system like that you wouldnt be able to hold it eaither.Mine go where i want them to about 90% of the time whihc is very awesome. No animal ive had ever went in the litter area 100% of the time. Its just nature.

Me i took soiled bedding and stuck it in a corner and everytime they would crap on the top level id take it and put it in a corner. After a couple days they just sort of kept going in corners.Mostly pigs are desceptible to go in corners anyways or where pigs always go to try and intimidate the other pigs in the cage.

Talking

I use mine as a hay basket for them to lay in. They have a seperate rack for nonsoiled hay but the love sleeping in it too.

It didnt really work for a litter pan anyhow.

There are actually two different things that I'm getting confused about what you mean. The Pigloos are Pig Igloos - get it, pigloos. These are plastic dome houses.

Then there are the triangluar shaped litter boxes with raised sides along the back and I guess if you're English, that would be a Pig Loo (and maybe they've renamed these in the UK because of the loo word, which we don't use in the US). I got one and keep putting soiled bedding in it. I also move it to the corners where they pee and poop the most. However, that's done no good. They seem to go everywhere else just as much. They do like to hang out in the litter box though so I guess they like it.
