Question Fun Help!!!

My guinea pigs are so bored, they don't understand how to play and I can't give them plastic tunnels. Holly has actually started turning her house around and around for amusement.
Does anybody have any cool things that are make-able for their piggies?

Re: Fun Help!!!

Toilet Tube filled with Hay, an old sock stuffed with hay, so they can use it has an edible pillow. Or sometimes if it's a dodgy bag of Hay, I'll just chuck in a few cardboard boxes and they have a ball chewing on the and dragging them around. Bird toys apparently also make good toys, but the best toy I even actually paid for was a Kritter Kabob, It was made for bunny's and had a bell on the end, even if there is no food on it, they still push it with their noses, and play tug of war with it.

Re: Fun Help!!!

If you have them out for floor time or something, just toss some towels in the area where they are. Mine love to burrow inside of them and pull them around. They also like to push around the little jingly cat balls.

Re: Fun Help!!!

Like I said they don't know how to play, I'll try some of those ideas though. Do you guys have any ideas about teaching my piggies how to play? They are very smart, they even come when I tell them to, and I don't want that genius to go to waste

Re: Fun Help!!!

I think they just need to gind a toy that they like for them to start, Just experiment with different toys until they show and interest in something. I think you could also try interacting with them some more that might stimulate them. If not you just have incredable lazy animals.

Re: Fun Help!!!

You could use food to make the toys more interesting. Put hay inside or tie bits of coriander to things( I say this one because is has such a strong scent, will be easy to detect). Put bits of food in the tunnels...
