Lightbulb Coffee Cans

My mom actualy came up with this idea. If you have one of those big metal coffee cans and are done with it you han use a can opener to cut away the bottom and then wash the can out. Then you have a tunnel for your gps at no extra cost to you. my pigs love it. Make sur that there are no sharp edges though. The only downside is that its metal and they cant chew on it to wear down their teeth. Then again, they cant do that with the pvc pipe either. Its really easy to clean too. Unlike the cardboard like material that the tunnels pet stores sell.

Please tell me what you think of this idea. It works great for me. But dont use it outside. The metal can get too hot.

If you have a side can opener there isnt any sharp edges at all.The end of the coroplast would be more dangerous

Any can opener called a "Safety Can Opener" will cut an edge that is not sharp. Pampered Chef makes a good one. They're good to have if you have kids too.

I use that one! If you're worried, you can always tape the edges with masking tape. =) Add a couple layers to make extra sure! =)

Folgers coffee cans are plastic now. I cut the bottom out and it works fine as a tunnel and not dangerous for them.
