Cozies

What dimensions should I make my guinea pig cozies? I want them to fit two female guinea pigs. They're only a few months old right now, but I want to have the dimensions still fit them when they are adults. I was looking on ebay, and I saw one that had a 13'' wide x 15'' deep cozy. Would this be too big for a pair of 2 female adult guinea pigs, just enough, or should I aim for something bigger/smaller?

Hey. I dont know if that is big enough, but why dont you try and make it? It would be cheaper and you could always make a new one really easily once they are a bit bigger.

It should be ok if they're still pretty small.

But if they're anything like my trio (they love to lie in their cozies sideways), you might want to make it a bit bigger.
I make my cozies short lengthwise, and the width part longer (about 10" by 12" when completed).

I'll include a pic of one as an example (hopefully it will show up).

Check out my photo in the gallery (http://www.cavycages.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=787&password=&sort=1&cat=500&p age=1). In the description is a link to the site where I got my instructions. However, it is definitely too small for 2 adult pigs so you might want to make it bigger. It was very easy to make. I used a baby receiving blanket for the outside and felt for the inside. It washes up great in the washing machine. I made two so that one was available while the other was in the laundry.
