Re: Banned members discussion

Thank you for banning PrettyBow, her avatar was very much revealing, and not suitable for a fourm where there is children. As well sorry to you Ly that you had to be mouthed off to like that, when you didn't even state anything about being a bad care giver.

Okay, I'm morbidly curious... was she like, naked, holding her guineapig, or what? o.O

Re: Banned members discussion

No just just had on a low cut top and since she was holdhing her pig close to her chest the zoomed in picture was of her pig and her cleavage. It would have been easy to crop the picture to only include the pig. I was about ready to say something to a mod as well but when I finally got around to if she was already gone.

Wasn't the first time and I doubt will be the last. But thanks.

Other members had already said something about it to this mod and I guess she got mad when I pm'd her and asked her to either crop or change her avatar. Oh well. I hope she comes back and reads the message I publicly left her.

Albert was banned for having an Alter Ego (Gunnedah).

I am nosy too. If I see someone is banned I will usually check their post to try and figure out why. Kinda sad that I am that bored sometimes.

Re: Banned members discussion

I had wondered about Albert and Gunnedah. They seemed a very likeminded pair.

Re: Banned members discussion

Susan9608 : With regards to Albert being banned, how did you determine that Albert was Gunnedah? Is 2 people using the same internet connection (I'm assuming from IP address) considered as the same person?

An example would be, if I lived with my cousin, and we share the internet connection in the house, as this is common with broadband, does this mean we cannot have our own seperate user identities on CavyCages forum?

Thanks
Florence

Re: Banned members discussion

I'm curious about this too. On my end, my SO wants to create an account. Of course, we use the same connection most of the time, and switch computers among ourselves... so would this mean a no-go?

You could both definitely have your own IDs. We just ask that if that is going to be the case, please contact a mod or admin ahead of time. There are several member pairs that share the same computer/IP address.

The problem with albert/Gunnedah was not only being the same person, but breaking several rules, bragging about breeding, and having a less than pleasant attitude with mods and forum members.

Re: Banned members discussion

Question: When a person is banned how come it shows them as being on the forum. (green light next to name is lit)?

That means the same as it does for any forum member. When you're banned, you still have an ID on Cavy Cages, and you can still log in and read what is going on. You just can't post anything. If you see a green light next to their name, that person is still logged in.
