Happy Pigs - and Pigtures!!

The piggies are so happy to be back in their lovely big C&C cage! I got a few pictures this morning of the pigs and their cage in my new room.

The cage in my new room:

Charlie found his way into the bag of hay during floor time!

Jazzie is very happy with her giant cilantro sprig!!

More pics to follow!

Where do you get giant cilantro? Percy would go out of his mind for it. Your piggers are adorable as always!

Re: Happy Pigs - and Pigtures!!

I got it from a specialist fruit and vegetable type shop. You wouldn't believe the size of the herbs they have...the biggest cilantro and parsley I have ever seen! I was dancing around and had a huge grin on my face waiting to see what the pigs thought of it!! I guess they just let the cilantro and parsley grow for a bit longer than they do before they are picked ready to go to supermarkets.

Re: Happy Pigs - and Pigtures!!

Yes, there are quite a few doors. You see, all of the middle two grids on the front of the cage, on all the levels, open up as 2 hinged doors. One set of connected hinged doors for the 2 lower levels, and one for the 2 upper levels. Then there are doors on the inside for easy cleaning access. All I need to do is open the front doors on the bottom half of the cage and the pigs run in and out as they please for a few hours each morning and evening.

Charlie cracks me up in that hay bag! What a clown! If you're ever in the States, be careful, or I might piggynap him to move in with my boys.

Dont they poo and pee all over the floor? Mine do every time they are out for floor time. I was just curiouse how you deal with it.

It might have been to late if your pigs didn't get to the giant cilantro in time, cilantro might have taken over! Very cute pigs and I love your cage! Hmmm... *getting ideas for my pigs cage*.

Re: Happy Pigs - and Pigtures!!

I love your cage. When they're that big, I consider it a piggie palace. Mine is big but you have me beat. I had to put in doors to get to the hard to reach places but it sure is worth it, huh? Good job. Glad to see everyone made the trip and your cage made it too!!

They poop all over the place when they're out for floor time, and sometimes they do pee. I usually put a puppy pad down on the floor or put a toilet out for them, and they're very good at going in there and peeing in it. Occasionally they'll get themselves in the litter tray but go to the loo with their bums hanging outside the tray! They get the idea though. If they do happen to pee anywhere on the carpet, then I just get a kitchen towel and water and clean that little bit. When I fitted the cage out with the new carpet, I had loads left over, so I put a huge piece under my bed (where the pigs spend most of their floor time) and a piece under the cage (for no particular reason). That protects the fitted carpets.
I hoover all the poops up after they have been out for floor time, otherwise a certain little dog comes along to have a snack during the night!!
