Is this normal?
I adopted two 3 week old sows about 3 months ago, and right off the bat they were sweet and quiet little angels. But recently they have become more wild and busy during lap time (and sometimes nippy like they want to get away from me the whole time). They are both very healthy (had them at the vet 2 days ago).I'm just wondering, is the behaviour change due to puberty or something else? And, will they grow out it?Any help would be appreciated.Ange

Re: Is this normal?
Usually when they nip they want to be put back in their cage. Their behavior change is probably due to them being more comfortable with their surroundings in general.
But, you should understand that lap time is for you, not the pig. Mostly, they couldn't care less if they're being held or not, and probably prefer not to be. You can make sure you always have treats to give them when you're holding them, and if they go to sleep in your lap, that's great. Otherwise, put them back, or in floor time, when they get antsy.

Ok thank u! Oh, I wanted to ask, is it ok for me to sit with them inside their cage and pet them and feed them veggies? (My cage is massive btw - can fit 3 grown men men laying down in it)?

Ok cool! Was just wondering if it was ok to do that or not. Still learning! Would it make them more comfortable with me?

You'd have to ask the Lilliputians how they felt about Gulliver -- I have no idea whether they'd feel more comfortable or not.
