What to expect when getting another guinea pig?

I'm getting a new guinea pig soon for my Pearl (guineapig) but I think she is too young.. I got her 2 weeks ago.. and she was a baby.. is it fine to get a old or a younger one?

I'm not sure, I hear if they are young it should be fine. But I also hear people getting new pigs all the time for ones they already have. Just to be on the safe side I would slowly introduce them to eachother. let them have free roam time on the floor together, were its nuteral territory. Then increase the time daily for a few weeks I guess, or what you feel is right for the pigs depending on how they act. Then when you feel it is right then I would move them in together. But yeah, I wouldn't just throw them in together and hope for the best, cause you never know what could happen. Good Luck.

When you get the new pig, make sure to quarantine in a separate room for 3 weeks. You'll need to make sure she's healthy before you introduce her to your current pig. Make sure both are females.

And please adopt, there are many homeless pigs that need home. Look on petfinder.com, craigslist, or call your local shelter.

When you introduce them, do it in a neutral area where none of the pigs have been to. Don't keep putting them together and separating them. It's stressful for them and they'll have to go through dominance every time they meet.

Try not to get another pig around the same age. Puberty is rough enough without having them go through it together. How old is Pearl?
