Re: In a dilemma
Why? What's wrong with it?

I have no clue! I cant stand flag happy people....the ad has been up for over a month and I just renewed it so it would go back to the top, and bam it is flagged.
Here is my ad
I have a one month old male guinea pig who I looking for his forever home. He will need to go to a home that already has a male guinea pig as they are social animals. Your cage needs to meet minimum requirements on guineapigcages.com. There is a 25 dollar rehoming fee to ensure he is not snake food. If you are interested please contact me with pictures of your cage and current guinea pig. (rehoming fee is negotiable if you are a great home)

Re: In a dilemma
Oh my gosh, that is so irritating! The ad you had was fine and should NOT have been flagged. You don't say anything about breeding and are asking for a reasonable fee, even negotiable! People are ridiculous

Re: In a dilemma
I agree with @jowasaurus Some people don't seem to realize that there are accidental breedings. You are doing the best you can for this piggy. I hope your ad doesn't get taken down. Can you put another up if it does?

Yeah I reposted with a disclaimer that I had unknowingly adopted a pregnant pig. I wish people would just email if there is an issue! I had one lady email me telling that male pigs should NEVER be put together. Seriously? I had another email asking if I would stud him. Ugh people!

Re: In a dilemma
Really? She must have lonely piggies then! I feel sorry for them. I caught about the breeding- I just didn't have any response for that one. I'd delete the e-mail and forget it, not bother with such cretins!

I emailed the "lonely pig lady" and I told her with the right size cages and proper introductions many males do well together. I emailed the other person and said I don't believe in breeding.
Gus was flattered though
. I try not to get preachy.

Re: In a dilemma
"I don't like confrontations!" (Toy Story)
I hate arguments. If a situation looks like it's going to be unnecessarily stressful, I skip out on it. I don't know how to come across the right way either: I can mean something innocently enough, but it comes out cold and unfeeling. I don't do it on purpose, I just don't realize what's happening.
Also, I suffer from anxiety so I do my best to live life as stress free as possible- which is one of the reasons I can't work! The stress that I really do need to handle, I face straight on immediately so that I can get through it as soon as possible. But I won't debate or argue with people. It just stresses me out too much.
I'm glad you were able to handle those two posters on your own terms. I really wouldn't have known what to do with them but throw them out the proverbial window and forget about them. (Or try to. I'm still concerned about that breeder's poor piggies!
Not that there's any thing any one can do about it.)

Update! I think I found a home. A lady near me as a great looking CC cage with two other boys. I am so excited! We are meeting Wednesday to meet and possibly let her adopt Gus! I really hope this works out!

Re: In a dilemma
Yay! Glad that turned out well for you, CrazyMom. Where'd she find your listing? Is she one of the good ones on Craig's List? Is she on this forum?
Sorry! Don't mean to be nosey. Just curious.

She found me on craigslist. I wouldn't be surprised if she is on the forum but I didn't ask. Based on her knowledge and cage she has done some serious research! I hope it doesn't fall through! I am so excited for Gus being able to get some buddies. I just hope he does well. I am giving her the option to bring him back to me if there are issues.

Well we are sad to see Gus go but are happy we found a good home with companions. I hate the feeling of giving a living being into the hands of someone I barely knew but she seemed really happy to have him and like a good piggy owner.
As for the girls, I think they are happy to have both stories of their cage back!

Re: In a dilemma
Ditto @CritterLuvva , congrats on finding a good home for him!
I adopted Ginger from a girl on CL and I send her updates basically every week with pictures and stuff. She really appreciates it...oooh now that I think about it I haven't sent her an e-mail in like a month :-/ Guess I'll be on that now! haha...*nervous laughter*

Re: In a dilemma
@CrazyMom that's great news! (we have exactly the same fleece pattern as in the picture above!). Great idea letting her know that you can bring him back if there's a problem of any sort.
