Unhappy Ariel chewed her mothers (Silvermist) ears, neck and back!!

Yesterday I found Silver was bleeding on her ear so I looked closely and Ariel had bitten it so bad that one of the bites went through! Behind Silvers ear, on her neck area, there were open wound bites with blood. There are so many places on her where she was attacked. I haven't ever seen it happen but my mom saw it yesterday.
A while ago, while holding Silver, I was scratching her head, neck and ears. I noticed her ears had a flaky scabs on them. Also a scab on her neck behind her ear. I just thought maybe there was a little scuffle. This is the most horrible thing I have seen on a guinea pig. I put Neosporin on all wounds and ear, and Silver tried to fly out of my arms screeching!! She's in alot of pain. I have decided to adopt Ariel out, for the safety of not only Silvermist but also 5 month old "Possum".
I am so upset about this and have no clue why this could have been happening. Silvermist is Ariel's mother! I think it has been going on for a while, thinking back on the scabs. Silver also has an old bite on her ear with a rip out of it. It was there when I adopted her.
Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks,
p.s. I am looking for a home for Ariel ASAP, so for now she is in the original store cage. I feel bad about that but I have to protect my other girls.

Can't you just divide your cage with grids so they can still stay but be safe?

I have a mean pig. No one can be housed with him. He likes to be near the others so I have his c & c cage right up to the others. That way he can smell them, talk to them, and even rub his behind with them, but he doesn't hurt anyone that way.
Maybe that would work with Ariel so you might not have to give her a new home.

I wish I could but my apartment is very small. I have their cage in my living room which consists of wall to wall stuff and , because my daughter doesn't have her own bedroom, its also her play area. I already got rid of a lazy boy chair when I built their cage at first and nothing else can be removed. Thanks for your reply.

It's weird though, because obviously since they are mother and daughter, they've been together all their lives thus far, and this just started happening. I wish I could understand why. I'm taking Silvermist to the vet on Wednesday to get her wounds checked out. She's in so much pain, I cant even touch the hair near her wounds!
The wouldn't be big enough, on one of the sides for 2 pigs, if I separated the cage. I'm just at a loss. I just want to understand but I guess I never will.
Unfortunately, I have to adopt her out.
