Adopting another pig???

I have had my Piggy Sweetpea for about three years, and at the time i was not able to get her a playmate . However I am now excited to stay I am soon getting another female and building my first C&C cage! I was wondering if any of you experienced cavy owners had any tips for me I really want them to get along. I was also wondering how long you guys think I should quarentine the new piggy?

Find a guinea pig rescue nearby to help you match your piggie up. Adopting is the most important advice. Don't buy from a pet shop.

Adopting is the way to go. Check your local shelters/rescues, check petfinder, check craigslist, etc, etc but adoption is key.

Quarantine should be 21 days in a separate room. The separate room part is important so that any airborne ailments there might be cannot be transferred.
