neutering males

Is the surgery for neutering male GP's very safe or unsafe? and does anyone know the average vet fee?
Is it a reasonable consideration if, (and would it?) guarantee compatibility with a buddy, because then the buddy could be female?

Re: neutering males

nuetering a male wont change his behavior, the only time it should really be done is if u want to pair a male and female.
there are risks, partially because of the anasthetics but it is safer the nuetering a female since the organs are external.

All of your questions about neutering are answered on this page: www.cavyspirit.com/neutering.htm.

Adding and combining guinea pig info can be found on this page: www.cavyspirit.com/sociallife.htm.

I suggest reviewing each page. The answers aren't black and white. It depends on your situation.
