I have not been weighing my pigs and while at the rescue adopting our third last night, the rescuer was checking out my current pigs. Tiffany has some genetics issues and she STRONGLY suggested that I keep up with her weight since she is so small anyway. I know that I should be doing this, I have just been lazy. I am looking at the different type of scales and have no idea which is best. Dial or Digital? Flat or w/ the bowl that sits on top? Those of you that have scales, what works best for you?       |

I would get a digital one if possible. It's not necessary, but it will be more accurate. You could try Ebay for a good deal. |

I was wondering the same thing, and read that most prefer digital. I found a 7lb digital scale at Walmart...I think it was $23. It didn't have a bowl on top or anything, just a flat surface... ***EDIT*** I forgot to say that eBay is a great idea!!! I didn't even think of that! |

I have a biggest loser scale and I got it from Bed Bath and Beyond. It works well and was not expensive. |

I use the biggest loser scale as well. I put the piggies in a bread pan first and tare out the weight. |

Ok, so I just ordered a digital one from Amazon. It's flat and about 11" wide. I will be able to weight my dog and the pigs on this one!. I have a Prime acct w/ Amazon, so I'll have it tomorrow. Thanks for all the info! |
