Last week, I got a new baby GP that I want to get to know an existing 2 year old pig. I have them in quarantine (where they'll stay for about 3 weeks). They seem to be interested in one another. Any advice on how to make the introductions? And how to ensure they have the best chance of living together comfortably? Thanks very much. |

I can't reconcile those two statements in my head. If they are actually in quarantine, it's hard to imagine they could know the other one exists. |

I just remembered another question I wanted to ask: assuming all goes well and my guinea pigs are living in the same cage, what do I do about the fact that they will be eating different types of pellets? (ie. the baby will need alfalfa-based and the two-year-old will be eating timothy-based). Thanks again! |

You can feed them both timothy based pellets and give the baby veggies higher in calcium during lap time such as parsley. Could you clarify how they seem to be interested in each other if they are in quarantine? I'm confused by that. |

They have been squeaking to each other. They've developed a call and answer routine that is really cute. Thanks for the reply! |
