hi !
Is anybody getting their guinea pigs christmas presents?
I got mine two new hidey homes but I'm not giving them to them until Christmas Eve.

I'm planning to. I'm at uni at the moment so I only get to see them at weekends, makes me sad.
I'm going to make up for it by showering them with gifts, though. I had this in mind but now I'm not so sure - they'd only use it as a toilet.

Yup. I was in the build a bear factory today and saw 2 beautiful plush chairs/cuddle cups. My pigs don't use cuddle cups but i couldn't resist. I'm going to get them one for christmas . They are so darn cute.

That house with that rabbit, is absolutely adorable!!! I'm planning on it. I don't know what I'm going to do but I'll probably end up buying them a bunch of toys since right now they don't have anything. (money issues but I have a job so yay!). I need to buy another change of fleece and towels and then I can worry about other stuff. I look forward to spoiling them rotten.

The christmas cake hidey home is so cute!
I never thought of looking in the bear factory for toys. I used to have a chair with a foot stool for my teddies when I was younger but I throw it out . =(

laura the factory in Dundrum have these items . Funny thing is that they are much cheaper than in the u.s. Very strange. Also different colours and styles.

Oh, I was totally thinking about making a topic about Christmas presents.
Since I am going to start shopping for dog and pig presents soon. I was hopping to get ideas so this is helpful.

So far I am going to get him a tunnel, baby blankets, and a mini bed. I'm not sure what else yet.

I got the fabric in the mail to make cuddle cups today. Now I just need to replace my sewing machine!

Regarding build-a-bear - they are pretty inexpensive here in the USA. How much more pricey are things from them overseas?

The hello kitty chair was 10e and the cuddle cup was 8e . With the exchange rate it's around $4-5 difference. Ireland is a very expensive place to live so i was really surprised to see how cheap build a bear items are here.

I plan on getting my pigs some presents... not sure what yet though...

I'm not the only one to get them presents though! My parents and my brother buy them presents as well. Last year I got a total of 3 cuddle cups from my brother and 2 from my parents! I always give them safe suggestions. I believe that them giving the guinea pigs gifts is like giving me gifts as well since I don't have A LOT of money to spend on those kind of things, a lot of my guinea pig money goes towards vet care, food, bedding, and other necessary items. So I look forward to Christmas!

This year I am also pig-sitting for a member on here from December 23 to January 15, so I will have 2 extra piggies to care for and spoil... I see that as a little extra gift for me since I LOVE piggies!
