Hey I saw this ad for fun show for guinea pigs last year as well so it must be good! Just thought I would share with everyone else: *Saturday November 14th 10:30-2:00 pm *Pleasant Hill Library Hastings MN. 55033, corner of pleasant street and Hwy. 55 *Everyone welcome!! *Classes are: Parsley eating contest Largest Guinea pig Race Most colorful Worst hair day Best costume Most vocal Best trick *Prizes and certificates will be awarded *Guinea pigs only please (no other pets) *You can have pictures taken of your Guinea pig with a Christmas setup and or costume for FREE *Put together by the River Valley Cavy Fanciers *For questions please call 651-434-7588 please do not E-mail (E-mail is not working) We hope to see you there! This show is run by the local breeders association. Do a search for the "hosts". The first link I opened had Tracy Iverson at the top of the list of breeders. this is the same "reputable/responsible" breeder that admitted in an email to a member here that he breeds his dals and roans together knowing they will create lethals and then feeds the lethals to his snakes. The link to that thread is here If anyone goes to this show for any reason other then to picket and had out information about the overpopulation problem these people create then you are feeding the problem. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOW!!!! |

This doesn't sound like any better an idea to me than a typical show-- it's still going to stress the pigs out, put them at risk of communicable diseases, etc. No thanks, I'll pass. |

I saw that ad to on Craigslist the other day. I also thought it sounded fun until I did a search on the hosts and found out they're breeders....won't be going to that! |
