Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Gizzy has a babysitter that is with her every second day in the form of my cleaning lady. While she cleans the living room she gives Gizzy a treat in the Bedroom and close the door on her. This is something Gizzy is used too and will go very nicely if she sees the piece of frilly red lettuce. However when she opened the door to go and finish up in the bedroom she found that Gizzy had eaten the straps off my Mary Jane CROCS!!! Olivia says she can only find a few pieces of the straps laying around the room!!! WHY would she do this?? Waiting now for my Vet to phone back but my gosh! what a silly girl I have! |

Cavies are curious creatures. They will nibble or eat lots of things they aren't supposed to if they have the opportunity. My girls ate a fair amount of a plastic grocery bag once because I left it too close to their cage. They were able to pull it into the cage and it was about half gone by the time I realized it was in there. They've also nibbled on other things and used to chew the coroplast until I made the sides 10" high. I wouldn't go to the vet just yet. Chances are she is just fine. I'd monitor her closely and make sure she is pooping well for the next 24 hours. If she gets to a point where she isn't, then I'd go to the vet. |
