Rescued 4, now there's more - update

It's 1:40ish in the morning. I just ran through to use the bathroom, and while I was up checked on the last of the 3 pregnant females I rescued. She had 5 babies!!!! I'm now up to 16 guinea pigs! This rescue sure exploded. I do have a home for at least one of the males, possibly both from the first litter that I posted pics of. I'll be rehoming most of them. I must admit that there are a couple that I have just fallen in love with, so will be building more cages I'll post pics later. I'm going back to bed.

Well, when I start cutting their veggies, it sure gets loud. They love their veggies! It's fun to see the oldest ones - 3 1/2 weeks old - popcorning all over the place when the veggies are on their way in.

Oh my goodness!!!! I can't imagine having 16 piggies all at once!!! I look forward to seeing pictures of these babies!!!

16 guinea pigs reminds me of a Family Guy episode when Peter goes out and adopts 20 (I think) puppies. He lays on the living room floor with them and he's rolling around. I don't know why that reminded me of that, but just picturing 16 piggies out and about makes me giggle

Ok, here's a link to a pic of the new ones. I took this with them around the same coffee cup I used for the first bunch of babies. There are 5, but a couple decided to hide in the cup. They are all abbys, some more pronounced than others. I haven't sexed them yet. I'll do that when they are just a little bigger. They are quite a bit smaller than the others that were born 3 1/2 weeks ago.

Oh my gosh, they are so freaking cute!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on my new boy (or boys) tomorrow!!!! HA!! Congrats on the problem free delivery, glad they are all doing well!!!

WOW, 16 piggies, I can't even imagine!!!!

Oh-My-GOSH!!!! I have a broken hand and I promised my self I wouldn't type but those piggies were so darn cute, I just had to say something!! Well good luck finding them all homes and I wish your new babies a long healthy happy life!(full of veggies!) sooo, where do you live? I might just have to take one! Just Kidding but I would really love one.

horsiecutie, I live in Marietta, SC. I will be rehoming most or all of the babies and possibly the adults as well. I will either keep a male companion for the daddy, or try to find him a home with another male. The adult females, I would like to keep together, as they are very attached to each other. The babies, I'm trying to rehome in same gender pairs.

I live in georgia. I really wish I could take two of your boars but I just don't have the space ;( I was kidding about taking one them. I really really wish I could don't get me wrong, but just can't. I'm sorry for the confusion!

Wow, sounds like a great place to be. I could seriously spend most my time with my piggies. I'm looking for more (I'm down to two after the youngest pig grew very attach to my sister and vise versa). The shelters are out but I'm going to hold out until they get one in.
