Do guinea pigs get sexually frustrated? I separated my male from the female and the male is always jumping around and weeking as if hes angry. (sorry move it if its in the wrong place) |

He's probably more frusterated cause he had company and now it's gone. Could you put their cages side by side so they can see and talk to eachother. |

You had a male and female together? On purpose? |

The back story from another thread is that she had a pig that she was told was a female. She went out and bought another pig and didn't do quarantine but put the two together. She found out that her first pig is a male. There is now a chance the new pig is pregnant. She didn't intentionally try to breed them. It was nothing more than a sexing mistake. If males smell females when they are in heat, they get frustrated, yes. If you put them in cages next to each other, make sure his section has a lid to where he can't get over the grids. |

It's likely at least partially because he had company and now he doesn't. I have two boars and they always want to know where the other is, even if they don't always hang out with each other - they will cry and carry on if one of them is out of the cage. |

Yeah one of my girls, Avril gets upset and will start crying out if she is left in her cage alone (if I have Buffy out for lap time or something). She can get quite panicked actually and I hurry to put Buffy back in! But Buffy is not so worried if she is left on her own...not sure why that is. So that's probably why your piggy would be upset too. |

No, it was a complete accident the woman I got them from told me they were both female. |

Is your other pig pregnant? It most likely is. |
