Question funny odd question. Changing color?

My husband pointed this out earlier today and I thought that I was just seeing things. but it's so minimal I couldn't take a picture of it due to lighting. Anyway, My question is... Do piggies Fur change colors? I have an all black pig, he's about a year and a half. My husband noticed that he started graying in the rosetts, which was weird but a few days ago i noticed that his Hind quarter was a dark brown instead of black, I've bathed him, thinking it was just discoloration from urine, but their cage is spotless. would there be any explanation for this!! I can't help but laugh at how silly this is! I came home from work later today and the brown-ness of the hind quarted is black again!!!! just too funny!

I think with some as they age they get a little greyer in the fur in areas, I have a couple of 5 year old sows and they aren't showing any greying as of yet that I've noticed though. With himilayan pigs, their smut colorings will lighten in the summer and darken back up in the winter.

When we brought Wyatt home (as a 4 weeks old pup) he was solid black. Now (he's about a year old) his coat (he's a peruvian, if that matters) is clearly a charcoal grey.

Re: funny odd question. Changing color?

I have a black and white abby who is just over 4 years old and she is developing grey areas in the middle of her black rosettes. Her right hind leg is a mixture of black and white (almost like a roaning effect, but I do not think she has any true roan in her, not that it matters, it is not like I am breeding her) that is gradually getting more while hairs in it as time passes.
