So my Vet's office called me yesterday because someone dumped a piggie off at their office in a card board box and just walked out and left her. They knew I had pigs (7 of them) from my visits with Peaches and Romi, and thought I might know someone that wanted to take her in.
So I went and picked her up last night after work. I have her in my bedroom under quarantine in my original store bought cage at the moment. It's all I have for now, and it's much better then what she was in. She's a bit chubby but otherwise looks healthy. The Vet gave her a clean bill of health too. She's a very light brown/tan color with white markings, and they think she's about a year old.
She's super friendly, so she must have been held a lot. I've started calling her Cocoa, and I think I have enough room to keep her permanently, if my herd accepts her. I'll know more in a few weeks, after she's been introduced to them. I'm already getting attached though, because I held her for a long time while watching tv last night and she's just so sweet. She likes to lick me.
As soon as she heard me wake up this morning, her cage is next to my bed, she starting wheeking,

.
I can't believe I now have 8 pigs! She is the last one though. I just wanted to share my excitement with you.
