I've never heard of Kijji - I'll have to look in on it. I looked on PetFinder's everyday when I first wanted guinea pigs, and that's how I found out that my Humane Society had finally got in a new pair of pigs (that are mine now...= D) |

I wouldn't trust Kijiji. There are lots of breeders on Kijiji because they don't have a policy to flag those, unlike craigslist. These are all the sites I check when I was searching for my Peruvian. He wasn't listed but his brother was. He lived 60 miles away. I asked the rescue if they are willing to meet half way. They offered to meet me at my place. I guess she wanted to check the cage I have. So don't be discouraged if the piggie you found lives far away. The rescue might be willing to drive to meet you. Also check your local shelter website. I did a google search for all shelters in my area. I bookmarked all the links and checked them everyday. EDIT: I forgot to mention, you can always check this section of the forum too. I would def go with pet finder.com I found my two girls on there even tho they were 30 min away I was glad i found them rather than having to go to a pet store. The lady was willing to even meet me half way. It's a matter of really really looking hard to find a piggie that's just right for you. |
