Question Dividing up my females?

I'm not sure if this is the right section of the forum so my apologies if it's not.

I currently have 13 female guinea pigs who all live together and tolerate (for the most part) eachother in a 5x7 C&C. They love their big cage but it is such a huge hassle for me to clean and sweep up! Plus getting them out for cleaning, lap time, and floor time can sometimes take me upto half an hour, and I am sure it is very stressful on them with me chasing them around the cage.

I am considering seperating them into pairs and trios into smaller, stackable C&C cages - pairs would get 2x5 and trios would get 2x6. It would be much much easier for me to clean and get them out for everything mentioned above.

What I want to know is, would it stress them out a lot to move them into smaller groups and smaller cages (even though new smaller cages would be bigger than recommended C&C minimums)? Thanks for the advice!
