My pigs are very wiggly when I trim their nails and I have never hit the quick before but what are you supposed to do if you hit the quick? Thanks! |

It will eventually stop bleeding on its own. You can use cornstarch or products made especially for this purpose to speed it up a bit. |

Would putting the liquid Nexcare stuff that acts like a bandaid help to like seal it over once it stops bleeding be OK or harmful? |

I wouldn't since it is accessible to the piggy's mouth. I would use cornstarch or Qwik-Stop Powder (hope I spelled it like the do on the package!) which is a styptic stick - easily found in most pet stores (try and find one that doesn't sell live animals if possible!) or I have also seen it in drugstores. |

Once it stops bleeding, leave it alone. You don't need to bandage it in any way. |

I run a q-tip under water, dip it into the Kwik-Stop powder, and then dab that on the nail that was cut too short. Kwik-stop works as an antiseptic as well as to help stop bleeding. |

My aunt was helping me cut them. If it isn't too deep it will stop bleeding as mentioned above. Otherwise I agree on using cornstarch. |
