Re: Are you supposed to feel babies at a month into pregnancy?

It's possible she might be confused as to what spaying is. Maybelle, spaying is actually the surgical removal of a pig's uterus and ovaries. If a pig has no uterus, its fetuses have no place to gestate and are removed with the uterus.

Is it possibly another procedure you had done instead?

IF your pig is spayed (was spayed 2 days ago) then she is NOT pregnant.
We went to Arizona to get Pig safely spayed without harming the pups.
They are all alive and well.
I don't know why people don't think its possible to spay a pregnant piggie safely???

If she has no uterus, where are her pups gestating?

You must have a piggy medical miracle on your hands.

Really?

From Pet Place:Pet Care Information - Pet Information - Pet Health Information:
The pups are removed from the uterus. At this point, the incision in the uterus can be closed with absorbable suture or the uterus and ovaries are removed, resulting in spaying.

Unless your piggie is adopting, I'm afraid she's not going to have babies.

Re: I am sorry for all of the posts... bt how long does it take for a sow to get preg

I'm really confused. I think Maybelle is trying to pull our legs.

I'm also merging this thread with your other thread.

There is absolutely no way that I am aware of to spay a pregnant sow with keeping the fetuses intact. I guess the aliens did it huh? You are listed as being in California so why did you have to travel to Arizona just for a spay?

I also want everyone to know that Maybelle is a minor so that may account for some of her comments.

And I'd like to know the name of the Vet Clinic that performed this miracle spay.

Haven't heard of him. Is he with a bigger animal hospital or something?

I always like to know who's where, just in case, and if he did a good job with your Pig, then it would be good to know for sure!

Is she healing well? Do you have to have her alone while the incision heals?

Re: Are you supposed to feel babies at a month into pregnancy?

Gooberific,
He is the manager of a really big animal hospital. He is soo gentle with my animals and caring. He is on the left side of Tyson Road. do you know where that is?
In Phoenix?

The incision is healing well, and the babies are doing great!

I live near Phoenix, but I'm not familiar with a Tyson road. What's the name of the animal hospital? Or at least the major cross streets!

Re: Are you supposed to feel babies at a month into pregnancy?

Because a spayed sow can't be pregnant.

Do you understand what spaying/neutering is?

You don't seem to understand what is best for them at all from your posts.

Re: Are you supposed to feel babies at a month into pregnancy?

I'm curious to know about the vet because I like to know which vets are in my area, and because I didn't know they could spay pregnant animals. I don't mind driving 100 miles or so in case of a real emergency that my close vet can't handle.

The one I go to is right around the corner, and she's only in a few days a week, as it's predominantly a dog/cat vet practice. If the boys need something more serious, I have to find a way to get them further into civilization. Rough with 3 who don't all get along!

You can spay a pregnant animal but it aborts any fetuses.

I can't speak for all, but I'm particularly curious because you're describing a procedure that, as far as science and biology has been explained to me, simply can't happen. If there are doctors performing miraculous surgeries, I can't help but be curious.

And, should you be making this entire thing up, well, then I'm curious to find out how you'll keep up the whole charade, despite the overwhelming evidence against your story.

Do you understand what spaying is? If you spayed your sow, you cannot possibly be feeling any babies.

Spaying means she cannot ever get pregnant.
