Star Re: help

This is normal Guinea Pig behavior. I have had my pig for 2 months and she is just getting used to me being in the room. now that she's had her babies however, all she does is what your describing.

Some pigs get used to humans over time, some just stay the same. It depends on the personality of the individual piggy.

Re: help

Yup, that is just the way they are. Mine will come to the edge of the cage when I walk in the room, and start demanding treats. If I get close to them without a treat, they jet for their pigloo.

Give them patience and plenty of it. It might take your pigs a few months to get used to their new dwelling and owner. Start feeding them some fresh veggies by hand so they can associate you are " the good guy/girl ". I've had mine for 8 months and one of them still geeks out when she sees me enter the room. I charm her with a piece of carrot though so she can get closer. And maybe handling them for a little bit everyday might help; as well as them having plenty of places to hide in their cage ( empty shoe boxes with holes for doors, paper bags, etc.) If you don't have a C&C cage yet, I suggest investing in one of those too.

Good Luck!

Re: help

Mudders1, I've merged the two identical threads you made in different forums in to one. In future please don't duplicate threads, once is enough and it makes it easier for people to know what advice you've already been given. Thanks!
